Using information from the referring vet as our starting point, we evaluate your animal, administer the most appropriate treatment and give you advice and training so that you can support and maintain our treatment programme.
Healing can start straight after surgery. Appropriate treatment in the hours, days and weeks after surgery is vitally important to ensure the best possible outcome – and physiotherapy bridges the gap between surgery and full recovery.
Physiotherapy can be used after surgery, after injury and for pre-surgical conditioning. It helps manage pain, maintains and rebuilds muscle mass, improves mobility and joint function, can improve strength and balance, helps with weight control and overall improves general quality of life.
The aim of any physiotherapeutic treatment is to limit the impact of injury and disease processes, optimise the potential for healing and accelerate your animal’s return to function and/or performance.
