Part-time Hydrotherapist

 

Kennel and Paddock is a state-of-the-art, independent Veterinary Physiotherapy, Hydrotherapy, Rehabilitation and Sports Conditioning centre, five minutes from J11 of the M4, Berkshire.  We have a part-time vacancy for a qualified Hydrotherapist to join the friendly and supportive rehabilitation team. We are currently looking for 12 to 15 hours per week including alternate Saturday mornings, with option of further hours for administrative holiday cover.

Our purpose-built rehabilitation centre includes a full size hydrotherapy pool and state of the art gait analysis equipment. Our cases vary from orthopaedic and neurological conditions, to chronic arthritic, weight loss and fitness swims. We are looking for a proactive, enthusiastic and approachable person with a positive work ethic who is a great team player but is also able to use their own initiative and self-motivate. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to multi-task with a flexible approach to working are a must.

The ideal candidate will be fully qualified and hold an ABC Level 3 Certificate in Small Animal Hydrotherapy. Candidates should be competent and confident at recording clinical notes and performing and recording daily water tests and treatment. Candidates must be passionate about rehabilitation and should have the energy and drive to help continue our success and further build the business. You must be reliable, trustworthy and friendly whilst also having excellent time management skills.

Part-Time Physiotherapist

 

Kennel and Paddock  is a state-of-the-art, independent veterinary rehabilitation and hydrotherapy centre, five minutes from J11 and J12 of the M4, Berkshire. We offer the most up to date rehabilitation centre for small animals. As part of our structured growth plan we have a part-time vacancy for a qualified Physiotherapist to join the friendly and supportive team, based at Grazeley Green, Reading.  Initially this would be for 10/15 hours a week on a self-employed zero hour contract with a view to become salaried if required, as the role develops.

Our rehabilitation centre includes a treadmill system incorporating state-of-the-art gait analysis technology that can score lameness and record improvements made, a 5 metre x 3 metre purpose built hydrotherapy pool with jets and a large rehabilitation exercise area with full physiotherapy equipment. Our cases vary from patients with orthopaedic and neurological conditions, post op cases to chronic arthritic cases. We are looking for a proactive, enthusiastic and approachable person with a positive work ethic who is a great team player but is also able to use their own initiative and self-motivate. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to multi-task with a flexible approach to working are a must.

The ideal candidate will be fully qualified with either a BSc or equivalent in Veterinary Physiotherapy (or within 6 months of accepting the post), or be a Member of the Register of Animal Musculoskeletal Practitioners (RAMP), National Association of Veterinary Physiotherapists (NAVP) or Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy (ACPAT) with a Comprehensive breadth and depth of physiotherapy knowledge.

 Candidates should have the ability to operate a range of physiotherapy equipment, to perform a range of physiotherapy procedures and the ability to adapt physiotherapy techniques/skills to incorporate latest developments with the ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
